    We live in NE Ankeny, in a development that is well lit, well observed by neighbors, not on a major thoroughfare, and very safe with no incidents of break-ins or other major crime in the past decade. We're very grateful for that.

    I have always felt safe in my central Ames neighborhood. I am curious about how other members feel.
